It's been almost six years of classes, experiments, and writing. Now the big finale of my PhD is 'defending' my thesis. I will present my research to a group of faculty and an audience of family, friends, and colleagues. After my presentation the faculty committee will pester me with questions and (hopefully!) decide that I have accomplished enough to receive my doctorate​.
